Preferred Name

abnormal secondary cell septum biogenesis

Definitions
A cellular process phenotype observed in the vegetative growth phase of the life cycle in which secondary cell septum biogenesis is abnormal. Secondary cell septum biogenesis results in the biosynthesis of constituent macromolecules, assembly, and arrangement of constituent parts of the secondary cell septum during cytokinesis. Consider also annotating to 'abnormal contractile ring localization' (FYPO:0000033) because if the contractile ring forms in an abnormal location, the septum will also do so. The positions of both the contractile ring and the septum are determined by the processes that select the site of cell division.
